THEY AREN'T JUST BEAUTIFUL BAUBLES...
Rubies do occur naturally due to several elements, primarily chromium and ranging in color from pink to "blood-red". The world's most famous and expensive ruby is called the Sunrise Ruby that's over 25 carats and is considered to be one of the rarest gemstones on earth. This one-of-a-kind stone went at auction for a whopping 30 million in May 2015 :0
Among other natural gems, the diamond is the only thing that is harder in regards to the Mohs mineral hardness scale, making the ruby one of the strongest gemstones around! In the U.S., if a ruby doesn't meet the saturation standards, then it's classified as a pink sapphire instead; this way of identification is fairly new, starting in the 20th century .
These beautiful gems can be found all over the world from Sri Lanka, Nepal, and India- to here in the United States: Montana, North & South Carolina, and Wyoming. I'm sure you're wondering by now Well that's nice to know about rubies...but what do they do for my skin?! This pretty mineral provides excellent brightening abilities with anti-aging properties to boot!
They also provide work as great exfoliators and skin plumpers too- leaving your skin feeling and looking luminous and fresh. Want to try a product that contains this awesome element??? You're in luck- I recently came across a great one that I wanted to share with all of you today...check out my verdict of dr.brandt's Glow Revitalizing Retinol Eye Cream below:

I was a bit hesitant that I would really LOVE this product although it's definitely not due to dr.brandt's quality. Thus far, I've absolutely loved all of the items from any of his lines that I've tried and I should have known this product was no different :) If you're wondering if utilizing rubies in your skincare routine makes any difference at all and you want something that proves it does- this is the way to go. Glow made a noticeable change almost right away which was nice, since it has ingredients that provide light-reflecting qualities.
But the real changes started to come after I used the product for a few days and I can see that the area around my eyes is healthier and my skin tone is more even as well- with a marked improvement in those pesky dark circles that often lurk around. There was no skin irritation, even with continued usage and this was something of a concern as I have super sensitive skin and this product in particular contains a Ruby Crystal Complex + Retinol. These ingredients- especially combined, can cause my skin to become irritated, but I had no issues with this eye cream :)
At over $50, this may be a bit more than some want to spend on an eye cream and I could relate, but I can attest to its effectiveness and excellent quality. The cute pink pump bottle is well-designed as well, which means you won't waste the product and can easily get out just the needed amount for each application- every time! I would highly recommend this product to any woman of any age who would like to improve the area around their eyes including hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, dark circles, puffiness, and lines.
