Natural Skincare Week
Like myself, you might have noticed the changes in recent years with the skincare industry that's putting a much-needed focus on providing products that are composed of natural & organic ingredients. Consumers have become more aware of things such as sustainability, safety, and ingredient composition that have challenged brands & companies to curate more products containing natural & organic ingredients, as a result. This is one of the biggest focuses of my recommended product reviews that you see so often here at The Beauty Closet, as well.
Over the years, I've been on the hunt for products such as these as it's been a personal crusade of mine for some time. Why? As someone with super sensitive skin, I often came across products that either caused adverse reactions or left me feeling horrified once I read the ingredients list of the product. Not only did I see a shocking pattern with many of these items through the years, but I also discovered that many of my friends and family had similar experiences :0 Luckily, changes in technology and consumer demand has brought some of these issues into the limelight and more brands & companies have jumped on the natural & organic skincare bandwagon.
My love of natural & organic skincare & beauty products is something that I truly enjoy sharing with all of you! It's also why I wanted to host a special Natural Skincare Week for all of my readers! Be on the lookout for all of the fabulous natural skincare finds recommended this week + great tips, product reviews, & more! The Beauty Closet Recommends
Detoxifying Mudd Masque with Pascalite Clay
One of the best clay detoxifying masks I've come across! It's great for applying to your entire face or works as a 'spot treatment' on break-out prone areas & blemishes. It's super thick and comes out as a clay-like paste. I suggest applying it thickly as it does make it easier to peel off. The remainder of the product that's left behind can be removed with a well-soaked wash cloth after you peel the larger pieces off.
I usually give it around 20-25 before attempting to remove, as this seems to be enough time to allow it to properly dry and draw out dirt & impurities. I would also advise doing this one at night, before going to bed and also up to twice weekly. I not only love the way my skin feels after this mask-cleansed, smooth, soft, and healthy- but I've seen an overall improvement with my breakout-prone skin as I've had less breakouts and issues with blackheads too :)
Energizing Peel-Off Mask
This unique mask is not only refreshing on the skin, it leave it ultra-hydrated and soft. It's incredibly easy to use and just requires you to simply apply and then leave on for up to around 20 mins. Once it appears to have dried [tried applying in a medium-thick, single layer], peel from either the bottom up or top down and you should even be able to succeed in peeling it in one entire piece!
Contains Blue Agave, green tea, ginseng, & Vitamin B that not only aids in stimulating the skin's natural metabolism, but it leaves it moisturized, rejuvenated, and even plumper! I absolutely love the cooling sensation you get with this mask as there's really nothing like it out there I've tried in the past. It's fun, bright blue hue makes this one a great gift and the perfect candidate for having the girl's over for a spa-night :)
