WHAT'S A MYSTERY CLUTCH?!?
There are those nice occasions where Julep will package together some great seasonal and holiday deals that have some real treats and fantastic deals $$! Valentine's Day is definitely not one of those holidays they leave out and in fact, it's usually one of their best packaged deals all year and one that I usually look out for :)

YUKI & VALENTINA-NAIL POLISH
These two polishes pictured above were probably my two favorite polishes in the whole lot that I got in the Mystery Clutch! There are limited colors and absolutely adorable and just perfect for upcoming Valentine's Day or any day will do too! Valentina has a very pretty and sparkly pink color with different colors of metallic pink chevrons! Yuki, is a little more toned down in a classic white, but it's just adorable with tiny white hearts and sparkly white flecks :)
MYRIAM-CASINO RED CREME NAIL POLISH *$11.20 purchased sep.
I wasn't the biggest fan of this color as I honestly don't prefer reds for nail polish colors. It might however, be great underneath one of the new colors like Yuki and create a cute effect. It isn't a color that I have either, so that was a plus, but I just found it as a boring color and probably not one that I would normally purchase on my own.
JESSIE-DEEP KALAMATA CREME *$11.20 if purchased sep.
This again, is not a color I would normally buy on my own as a chosen color, but it IS a good color to underneath some of the new colors and other polishes I have in my collection. It will also go well with the 2 new Metamorphic Top Coats that are really awesome of transforming dark colors into something quite unique! A good plus with the polish too was that is wasn't a duplicate color either :)
MARGIT-MUSHROOM W/ROSE SHIMMER *$11.20 if purchased sep.
I actually have this color, so that was definitely a bummer :/ We got this polish color in one of recent Julep monthly boxes, so it ended up being a duplicate for me. It will however, make a fantastic gift :) It's a pretty color, with a little sparkle and one of the new colors for spring. This makes it right on target with upcoming trends for the fun spring season!
GEL EYE LINER-NAVY SMOKE *$12.80 if purchased separately!
This gel eye liner turned out to be a nice color and as I do have a couple of the gel eye liners already I know the quality of them is also fantastic! These pencils will last all day long once they set in about 30 seconds after application-in addition to an easy glide-on application that makes it super easy to apply! I was wanting this color to add to my eye gel collection, so this was a nice addition to my mystery box :)
LIP GLOSS-POSH -Sheer black honey *$16 for Mavens if purchased separately.
This color was not really a fav. of mine as I am quite fair-skinned and they don't normally work out for me. I was VERY wrong about the color and was surprised that I could indeed pull it off! :) This was a great pleasant surprise! The color turned out to be nice- even though it is on the darker side of a pretty berry, it's a sheer lip gloss and ended up pretty. It can be worn by even fair-skinned gals and I do this color going well with most skin tones as well!
The gloss itself is not sticky and a great formula with: Rosehip seed oil (to sooth and repair), Malvaceae Lipid Extract (to improve your skins's barrier to retain moisture), and Green coffee bean oil (to promote turnover of cells & invigorate skin!). This Power Cell Complex is in ALL of Julep's lip glosses and contains ALL of those ingredients, exclusive to Julep's line :) They also have other products in this line such as: the Blank Canvas Mattifying Eye Primer, the Bare Face Cleansing Oil, and the Sweep Eye shadow palette-neutrals (seen below).
SWEEP EYE SHADOW PALETTE-NEUTRALS *$19.20 for Mavens , purchased sep.
This product was a hit AND miss for me :/ There negatives: There could be a LOT more product in the item for your money. Each eye shadow is only .2 oz. in weight and you can REALLY see that in the product itself when you get it (and maybe somewhat in the picture above). As I got this as a surprise in the kit, I didn't pay even the Maven price for it so I wasn't as upset about the price. However, if I'd bought this separately, I might have felt a little more strongly about how little product there is in the entire palette. It does NOT come with a brush either so if you want a brush, you're going to have to buy the one I have pictured separately below :( Now for the some of the positives: the colors are actually very pretty-especially the Dusk color in the center, that is a Mauve Satin. It has a very nice hue, pigmentation, and would be a great color for most skin tones. The color to the right of it- Toffee (bronze shimmer) is more of a shimmery color, but it's a very nice neutral option for a more shimmery eye shadow approach.
- Tiramisu (nude satin)
- Glow (golden shimmer)
- Dusk (mauve satin)
- Toffee (bronze shimmer)
- Cocoa (chocolate brown with gold shimmer)
EYE SHADOW BRUSH *$14.40 Maven pricing if purchased on its own.
The brush is a great quality brush for the price and if you're the market for one, at under $15 this brush from Julep is an excellent option! It's dome shape is good for getting into the creases of your eyes too. The brush is made of really soft and very fine, synthetic bristles and can be used for both types of cream/powder eye shadow! I find this to be a great plus as many of eye shadow brushes are not as versatile on allowing for more than one eye shadow type :)
