MY OWN EXPERIENCE WITH B12...

After having my own health concerns and being diagnosed as Anemic, I began doing some serious research into the what some of the causes could and solution for being vitamin deficient. Often, those with Anemia can be deficient in Vitamin B12 and since it's not produced by the body it must be obtained through diet. I had improved my diet significantly, added more exercise more into my week, but had not yet considered adding that specific supplement to my daily routine. 


SO WHY IS B12 SO VITAL?!

As the vitamin can't be produced in our bodies, it's consumed through our food and therefore our diets! The body binds a protein to the vitamin in order to be absorbed. Signs of a deficiency include: fatigue, depression,weight loss, dry lips & skin, brittle nails, and dark under-eye circles! If treatment is not begun, then more serious symptoms can result that can be long-term such as muscle weakness, high blood pressure, and trouble walking!

There have even been neurological conditions linked to Vitamin B12 deficiency that range from mild cognitive impairment to psychosis; these are rare but they should be noted as they are serious symptoms! Lastly, it should be mentioned that B12 has been medically proven as an allergen antibody which means that people with allergies may be able to get assistance with this supplement. However, with all of this scary stuff that can result there is also a definite light at the end of the tunnel!

Fortunately, fixing the issue with a Vitamin B12 deficiency is fairly easy to accomplish-especially considering the alternatives :) This can be done in a variety of ways, but the most common methods are usually orally- i.e. pill or capsule form and topically such as a cream, i.e. lotion. There are less-common methods that may also be quite a bit less-pleasant as well- via a nasal spray or injection! B12 has been found to cause little if any adverse reactions, even when applied directly to the skin.

With the help of your nutritionist or doctor who can help monitor a proper dietary plan and daily intake of the supplement, you can bring yourself up to a healthy level. You will see an improvement in your skin, hair, nails, and just the overall way that your body feels. Your body's energy levels and mental clarity will also greatly improve! Many people have reported sometimes feeling as though they have energy they haven't had in years and that their mental sharpness got noticeably better.

I've had the awesome chance to try products from Vita Sciences before and the quality and effectiveness are becoming a repeat pattern I am starting to see with their products :) One dose is two full pumps and the pump bottle makes for easy application. There is a slight hint of smell when you first apply, and that is the Peppermint oil that is in the formula. If you are allergic to Peppermint oil or it causes you skin irritation, you may want to avoid this product.

However, I usually try and avoid Peppermint oil myself for this very reason of having an adverse skin reaction, but I had no issues with this product- I have been applying daily now for several days. The light scent does dissipate after a short while, when the product has fully dried and absorbed into the skin. I chose to put my dosage on my wrists and then rubbed in; the product dried after about 5 minutes, but it took about 15 minutes probably to fully absorb into my skin. {it's pink, but it doesn't stain!}

I started to notice on day two of usage, that I seemed to have more energy throughout the day and it even felt easier to focus and concentrate. I thought this might be a "fluke" so I kept monitoring my progress and only saw that my energy levels did truly improve and only got better as the first week went on! I am a student and currently work over 40+ hours a week, so I could really tell the difference when I was studying and writing a paper for an upcoming project. It was also easier at work to get things done, with more mental sharpness being noticeably improved too. 

As for my skin, hair, and nails, they were probably the improvement that I physically showed the most improvement as it's something I could really see :) My skin wasn't near as dry-especially my lips, my hair felt stronger and healthier, and my nails grew with improved strength as well. I was shocked at how much of a real difference taking this supplement made for me! I always recommend consulting your physician and/or nutritionist before changing your health regimen or diet, but making this change could really improve your overall well-being!
