WISH YOU HAD YOUR OWN BROW GURU?
The average price for getting your brows waxed, threaded, & shaped can range anywhere from $7-15 a sitting and most people will go on an at least once-a-month basis. That adds up quickly and could be quite a bit more if you have your own brow stylist at your beck-and-call! Most of us-including myself, don't have the time or money to have our own brow gurus. It's gotten even more difficult for me to justify the cost and trip itself since I started going back to school a couple of years ago as a working adult.
I made the decision this was one the things I could give up and started doing them on my own. I've also read and come across a couple of interviews of brows stylists who advise that it's not necessarily a great idea to have your eyebrows waxed either. Their reasoning that makes good sense to me as well, is that when waxing occurs it leaves more damage than good and doesn't allow the stylist to truly sculpt the brows.
The other downside to brow waxing is that once it's done, the removed hairs probably won't grow back. This doesn't mean though that I've had to settle for sub-par brows even though I skip out on a monthly brow guru and waxing all together. You might have seen some of these options yourself and I've reviewed a couple of great alternatives here at The Beauty Closet too. Recently I came across a kit that really does deliver and sets itself apart from the rest with a unique technology that can make anyone a brow master in no time! Brow Master Complete Kit
This brow kit has become my go-to product for creating the perfect brows every time! I absolutely LOVE the Brow Master Complete Kit :) What really set this product apart for me was the different approach that the Arch Angel Transforming Brow Gel takes: it goes on as a light silvery-toned formula and then as if by magic, transforms into the perfect brow color. The universally flattering neutral color will work for almost anyone- I have blonde and red highlights and the color looked fab with my hair!
The other really cool thing about this brow kit is the Brow Master Customizable Stencil set that's included: this awesome neat tool allows you to personalize the stencil to your brow shape, size, and arch so you actually get the brow that you've always wanted. The stencil set includes 3 inserts for: full, medium, and soft arches to accommodate most brow shapes.
I was initially a tad cautious on how well the actual formula would work when I saw how different of a color it is when you go to apply the product- but my apprehension disappeared almost immediately with the first application as I saw how easily it changes color with a simple brush-through of your brows with the provided angled brush.
You can also use the provided tool to apply the product, as it's double-ended with an angled tool on one end and contains the brow brush on the other :) This is on of those products that really will make the entire process that use to be difficult and sometimes just a downright drag to do, easy and fun again! My fiance even noticed how natural and nice my brows looked and although I don't always agree with him, [lol!]
I will admit that I was thinking that as well before he shared his thoughts. The color turns out beautifully too and I'd have to say this one of the BEST brow kits I've come across. I don't think I've found one that really does deliver as this one does and makes it so easy- it's a breeze! Overall, this brow kit from RAMY beauty therapy hits all the right marks in effectiveness, uniqueness, and quality- I'd recommend this one for anyone wanting the perfect brows.
HERE ARE SOME GREAT TIPS ON HOW TO USE THIS KIT FROM THE BROW GURU HIMSELF:
BROW TIPS & TRICKS FROM RAMI GAFNI
- Avoid waxing - stick with tweezing and trimming. Waxing is harsh on the delicate skin around the eye area, the hair doesn't grow back, and isn't as precise!
- Skip tweezers with pointed tips as they can tend to harm the skin :/
- Keep brows as full as possible with a full arch.
- Start with trimming the brows as that allows for the them to easily take a natural shape and then follow with tweezing.
- Don't struggle with getting every single hair- focus on the big picture: stand back and look into a mirror from a distance [2 feet]- it's difficult to be objective of your own face, but this can help significantly :)
- When pulling out hairs, try extracting them in the direction they grow and "flip the tweezer" while pulling as well.
- Use the backside of the tip to pull out the smallest hairs and that will prevent damage to the skin, such as pinching and tearing :0
