THE VERDICT:

I was fairly excited about this month's box as I was going to get the chance to try out one of Julep's newest skincare products, as pictured above- the no limits Luxe Hydrating Creme. I've really liked the past skincare items that Julep has come out with and I knew there was a good chance I was going to LOVE this one as well. I was definitely right! This wonderful product contains Rosehip seed oil, Malvaceae Lipid Extract, and Green coffee bean oil that aid in retaining skin's moisture, promoting cell turnover, and delivering vital nutrients to the skin as well.

There are a few reviews on Julep's site from some Mavens who did have some issues with dispensing the product. There are not provided instructions on how to do this, however with some of my own poking and pulling, I was able to determine that the specialized dispenser is covered by a thin rubber-like material or silicone tab that needs to be removed. Once you remove this piece, you can depress the larger circle [which is more of a rubber/silicon button] in order to dispense the product.

I love the way this hydrating creme smells and it goes on super light, yet it provides excellent hydration and leaves your skin really soft and smooth. As for the nail polishes- they were all new colors introduced this month. I really like colors that showcase special effects, which is probably one of the main reasons why Tali is my FAV out of the bunch. This unique take on Glacier Blue with a holographic effect makes for a beautiful winter nail color. Joss comes in a close second, with a cross between a pretty, deep fig and dark forest green.

Celeste is nothing but sparkle and glitz- this one may not be for everyone; I think it's a fun take on a cosmic grey glitter as I'm a fairly big fan of glitter polishes in general. If you add up all of these items at individual pricing, you will get an $86 total and that makes this around a $56 savings at the Maven Box price :) Lastly I wanted to take note of the little extras. They may not seem like much, but I enjoyed getting the Junior Mints as they happen to be one of my FAV candies.

The coupon was a great little surprise as well since it doesn't expire until the middle of March and it's for $10 off of a future Secret Store purchase of $20+.Julep's Secret Store is a neat place that will hold special items at discounted and sale pricing for a limited time. You have to wait until it's open once a month, but it's usually worth it. I normally can find at least one item I've been wanting, but maybe didn't want to spend full price on. All in all, I was very pleased with my choices this month and I'm looking forward to what's in store for my next Maven Box in February ;)
