New Winter Eye Looks:

The Beauty Closet's Top 5!

1. Quilted Patters

This unique shadow look was created and spotted on the Chanel runways recently; you can easily achieve this look yourself, by taking a small cut-off section of plastic mesh [an old lemon bag or old piece of lace will work too!] and then applying your shadow while holding into place. Paid with soft nude, pinkish lips and thick, dark mascara to complete the look :) If I had an all-time fav winter eye shadow look- this would be it = LOVE...super easy to re-create, fun, and perfect for the holidays too!

2. All That Glitters is Gold!

Every winter season metallics and glittery shades are usually in- this one is no exception. This year however, there's a new twist on the traditional shades and style! Look for unusual shades in bright golds and bold brasses & bronzes; stick to the lower-half of your lids and go a bit overboard by layering 2-3 times, for an extra bold look. Line the top and bottom of your lids with thick coal eye liner and smudge, adding wings at the outside of ea. eye to complete this fun look :)

3. Nude & Natural Eyes

Take ultra-light silvery or copper shades and apply to the entire lid. Go easy on your mascara application [apply only to upper lashes- stick with 2 coats & try a lengthening mascara] and to complete the look, go for deep dark wine or red lip shades. The key to this beautiful eye look is to make sure to avoid over applying mascara and other eye products while also ensuring to keep your brows & cheeks super natural.

4. Over the Rainbow!

Want a holiday winter eye look that lets you have a bit of fun? This easy look allows for your to show your uniqueness with no real rules. The idea? Go for pieced-together candy shades or just one single shade lined right above the middle lid crease line [like the one pictured- above, middle]. Think art deco meets the colors of the rainbow!

5. Boldly Fly...

Think ultra thick & bold wings- with added flair- in bold candy shades or dark and sultry with added sparkle, like the one pictured above left! Complete the look with several coats of mascara [both top & bottom lashes] and thick liner along the entire bottom of the lash line.

Avon

Color Wide Awake Mascara

in Black

$5.99

I recently got the chance to snag an ultra cute set [pictured above] that came gift-wrapped in a lash coffee mug :) Wrapped in a black Avon stamped ribbon, there were 5 different eye liners and a tube of Avon's Color Wide Awake Mascara in Black. It's been a while since I've tried out some of Avon's latest mascara and I wish I'd snagged up some of it sooner!

It's fabulous for the price- the tapered tip is well-designed and allows for you to get to even the most difficult-to-reach lashes, without clumping or making a mess. I don't get any flaking or smudging with this one either and that's a real accomplishment considering this mascara is just around $6! Also available in Brown & Brown Black, there's a shade for everyone and at this price, you can pick one up for yourself and as a great stocking-stuffer for the beauty-lover on your holiday gift list :)

Blackened Green is a great combination that will give you the ultimate sultry eyes for the Holidays. The best part about these awesomely affordable eye liners...? Try Avon's Glimmersticks waterproof collection- offered up currently in 4 shades: Blackest Night, Smokey Grey, Midnight Blue, and Brown Chocolate [pictured above]. This shade is a great neutral option that would work for most anyone and unlike many similar waterproof eye liners tend to tug, pull, & smudge- these wonderful eye liners don't have any of those annoying issues :)
