Top Brow Shaping & Sculpting Methods:
1. WAXING: [$$]
Besides being an affordable option, it can actually do less damage than techniques like tweezing. The key is to either do this on your own if your confident on an at-home approach or to take a trip to the salon or stylist who can do this service for you in a snap! This method also lasts several weeks and can bring salon-looking results, right from your own home :)
Tips if you do on your own: decide on the shape of your brows beforehand; pull back your hair and pin in place so that you see what you're doing; make sure to trim extra long hairs before applying wax; use flat wooden stick to evenly apply in the direction of growth, being careful not to over-apply the wax. Ensure that you press firmly across the strip at least twice and then avoid pulling up- instead quickly pull in the opposite direction of hair growth the entire way to the other side.
2. ELECTROLYSIS: [$$$]
This involves the removal of individual hairs by means of medical electrolysis; a technician uses a device to destroy the center of growth for the hair with either a chemical or heat energy source. A thin, fine prove is then inserted inside the hair follicle and then removed. There is a slight reddening or irritation that can occur after treatment, however that does diminish withing a week from the course of treatment.
The downside to this approach is that it does tend to me more expensive and it can take several treatments. Although it does sound as though it might be quite painful, today's technology has reduced this to a mild tingle during treatment. Once the series of treatments are completed, the results are permanent :)
3. THREADING: [$]
A technique that's been used in the Middle East since ancient times, this affordable approach takes a bit of expertise. I highly recommend going to a skilled technician who has some decent experience in using the brow threading method. I've tried this method myself on several occasions and I do admit that it's a bit painful the first couple of times that it's done, but the results are quick and last much longer than tweezing!
The Beauty Closet Recommends:
If you're always struggled with achieving perfectly-sculpted brows...without tons of products or effort, this is a foolproof approach. TouchBack makes some wonderful products and their BrowMarker is no different :) It's super easy to use and actually leaves you with natural-looking, perfect brows! There are 5 great shades ranging from Soft Black to Taupe/Blonde; I chose the Blonde shade and it matches perfectly.
What I really love with this product is that it looks natural and takes about 5 minutes- it's also great for on-the-go usage. The soft fine-point tip makes precision application a breeze. A small tip: to ensure the best results and easiest application, store the marker tip-down.
I discovered that by doing this, it allowed the tool to provide a good, solid pigmented color and that it goes on smoothly & evenly as a result. If you need to fill in sparse brows or looking for an easy product that doesn't require tons of effort to get the perfect natural brows, the TouchBack BrowMarker is the way to go!
